Supporting Sea Anglers

Meet Ed Hullah

We are very pleased here at TackleTek Ltd to expand our team of anglers to include Ed Hullah. Ed is 16 years old and mainly sea fishes from the families 23ft boat off the North Wales coast though he also fishes from the beach and pier if the occasion arises. Ed has caught a wide variety of sea fish and has the opportunity with TackleTek to beat some of his current PB's during 2007.

As with the other team members Ed is sponsored with tackle and support and offers his advice freely to other anglers and is very pleased to be a part of the new boys on the angling block, Team TackleTek. Ed is willing to answer your questions on sea fishing and can be contacted via e-mail with your questions. I must also point out that Koike, the main supplier of sea tackle to TackleTek and through us to your local independent tackle shop have also kindly donated end tackle and accessories to Ed and they wish him every success for the future - a big thank you to Koike for this input.

We own a boat which we take out of Pwllheli marina which is in North Wales. This is our second boat which we have owned, and she is a Mitchell 23' fishing boat named 'Sea Mace'. Although I mainly fish from our boat for bream, tope, bullhuss, thornback rays and other species such as mackerel, I also fish from the beaches around North Wales, including Morfa Nefyn, the Menai Straits at Caernarfon, Criccieth, Pwllheli Marina, Gimlet Rock and South Beach, Black Rock Sands, BorthYGest and PenYChain Headland, which are my main venues, although I plan to expand these to fish in matches around North Wales and Anglesey.

I also enjoy pier fishing too, although I haven't had many opportunities to fish such venues. I do, however, enjoy fishing Trefor pier on summer evenings, as this is a relatively busy venue with plenty of anglers, which makes for a great atmosphere.

My personal bests stand at:

Thornback Ray - 8lb 14oz - Boat
Tope - 37lbs - Boat
Bullhuss - 8lbs - Boat
Garfish - 1lb - Boat
Bass - 1lb - Shore of Tywyn
Flounder - Approx. 1lb - Boat
Bream - Approx. 2lb - Boat
Dogfish - 2lb - Boat
Dab - Approx. 6oz - Boat
Whiting - 10oz - Boat
Gurnard - 8oz - Boat
Mackerel - 1lb - Boat

E-mail Ed at edward.hullah@tackletek.co.uk if you have any questions.
