Who are TackleTek?

Basically TackleTek was set up to fulfil a gap left in the market by the "big" companies changing their retail strategies with high minimum annual spend limits, high minimum order levels and preference towards larger outlets in terms of pricing. TackleTek has accounts with over fifteen manufacturers, all of them manufacture high quality tackle, bait and accessories used daily by anglers and all of them support TackleTek in our quest to make life easier for the independent retailer.

By opening a TackleTek account, can I reduce the number of my suppliers?

Yes, as we offer tackle from over fifteen companies, you can definitely reduce some of your current suppliers.

Can I combine carriage free levels from your suppliers into one order?

Yes, we have a sensible carriage paid level and all of the products in our extensive catalogue count towards the carriage paid amount. In our view, you should never need pay carriage on any order again!

If I trade with TackleTek, do I have to pay pro-forma invoice?

No. If you open an account prior to trading and your references are fine then you can order on our credit terms. We do offer incentives to pay earlier but the choice is yours. We DO NOT have penal prices for those retailers that wish to take up our credit terms as some other companies do. Think about it, a 20% settlement discount means 20% inflated prices for those retailers who prefer to utilise the companies credit terms! This is not how we do business.

If I pay with order do I get a financial reward?

Yes, we prefer to have funds readily available to invest in more quality products to offer the retailer so there are rewards given if you wish to pay with order. It is nice to look on your shelves and know that you own it rather than I own it!

Do you have Sales Agents, if not how will you handle returns?

Sales Agents do not come cheap and need to be paid for, by you and your customers. We operate using Interlink Express for both deliveries and returns and your account can be credited for any returns sooner than if a Sales Agent collects, especially as the company will not credit until tackle is back at their warehouse which could take two months!

What about a regular sales call?

We can telephone you on a pre-arranged day to receive your order and inform you of the latest products for you to offer to your customers. This service is FREE and does not carry a minimum order level or in fact any other catches. We are all aware of global warming and the effects of the carbon mile, telephoning is much more environmentally friendly!

How do I get to see new items that you introduce?

As soon as new items are added we provide information to clip into your catalogue (four ring bound for easy use) to notify you that it is available or will of course inform you on your regular sales call if you have asked for one. Remember also that as a company we offer a guarantee to you regarding the quality of our tackle. If you do not like the item or you feel that it will not sell in your shop then notify us within three days of receipt and we will collect and credit your account. YOU CANNOT LOSE

How do I know that TackleTek will still be in business in twelve months time?

We do not import cheap (and we mean cheap) tackle from beyond the sea, we sell only high quality tackle from UK suppliers and manufacturers, tackle that has been around for many years. With the expected growth in the business for 2007 dealing with honest tackle shops like yourselves we will be around for many years to come.

Why should I deal with TackleTek?

TackleTek is your wholesale supplier. It is family owned and run and we are very keen anglers in all disciplines (fortunately the Old Chap owns a 24ft boat moored in the Exe estuary!). We support fishing as a sport through initiatives with the NFA and we support anglers using their local independent supplier. Lets face it, there is nothing that the average angler could need that you cannot supply through TackleTek, even the carp and pole enthusiasts can obtain most tackle and baits that they require from you through TackleTek. We look at the business as if we were retailers and what we would need to run an economical, well stocked shop and believe that the answer lies in our catalogue.
